About J-Dot Music

J-Dot Music is a music producer and a musician with a diverse background. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was raised in Denver, CO before returning to the East Coast to attend Temple University. Growing up, he was exposed to many types of music including: Gospel, Motown, Reggae, and Hip Hop. He also had an interest in playing multiple instruments which led him to play in school bands and later be introduced to making beats at the age of 12. Returning to Philadelphia helped sharpen J-Dot Music’s musicality and production skills, and during that time it led him to working with multiple artists within the Christian Hip Hop (CHH) community. In 2020, J-Dot Music started a collection of beat tapes that included music from different cultures and styles of music. Black Feast: Africa celebrates African culture and heritage, while Black Church in the Wild, celebrates the heritage and legacy of Gospel music and the Black Church.

Some of his work has also been featured on the Billboard Charts, Fortune 500 commercials, video games, and much more. J-Dot Music’s goal is to bridge the gap between different eras and different cultures of music for everyone to enjoy.
